Entre Vinyes, Cava ‘Gran Funàmbul’ 2015

Our first offering from Penèdes, Spain, where a new generation of are eschewing bulk production to make quality wines; winemakers like Maria Barrena and her partner Josep Tort, who inherited 5 hectares of 80 year old vines from his father.

This is high quality Cava – a 50-50 blend of Xarel-Lo and Chardonnay, it spends four years on the lees, acquiring a gently toasty character, fine bubbles, and a soft, silky mouthfeel. Bright and refreshing acidity makes it a palate-cleansing accompaniment to tapas.
